A little about me
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. So you have every assurance of my background and capabilities, I have detailed below a little about me:
I’m a trained nurse, midwife and health visitor with several years’ experience of working with families with children – from pregnancy through to eighteen year olds. I have extensively studied child and adolescent development too. I have spent most of my working life in the NHS but have also worked as a lecturer and for the NSPCC.

I have a post-graduate qualification in sleep.
I have undertaken many parenting courses (Triple P).
My career in sleep advice
My interest in sleep started when I was working as a Health Visitor. I realised, and saw first-hand, how sleep problems could affect a whole family. I decided that in order to support and help people I needed to understand what problems there were and how to relieve them, which of course involved undertaking further study on sleep advice.
My sleep advice service is holistic, it’s also based on science and underpinned by research. There’s no one plan to fit all, so you can rest assured that my service is bespoke. No two children or families are the same and I will work with you to understand and resolve your problems, at a pace that suits you all.
Other services that can be offered include weaning and child growth and development (including weight and measurement) advice on minor & childhood ailments.
Kind words from a
I would definitely recommend Sonia if you’re looking for a sleep consultant.
“I have a 19 month old son who would have to be rocked to sleep every evening, hardly ever napped, and really struggled to get to sleep in his own room. Sonia took the time to listen to my son’s routine and helped us formulate a really tailored plan to help with his sleep. She was really approachable and knowledgable. Now my son is finally able to get to sleep in his own room which has been such a massive relief as we finally have our evenings back!”
